Hello
We are considering using a WiMesh Network in our new hotspot and we have a doubt.
Has anyone here already used FirstSpot on a Network topology such like that for managing it?
Regards,

From FirstSpot point of view, as long as the client outgoing traffic go through FirstSpot, FirstSpot can enforce bandwidth throttling, captive portal, etc... Note that FirstSpot recognize the client by either MAC or IP (depends on the Session Handling setting). You might want to check out http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html for several topology examples.
So theoretically, it shouldn't make a big different whether it is mesh or not. Still, if there is any special consideration, please post it here to share. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
