Post subject: Visitor Network Interface Card did not bind the PatronSoft..

I already search the forum.
No matter what I did. Its still the same.
When I click start button in Firstspot main web page, I got this error : Visitor Network Interface Card did not bind the PatronSoft FirstHop Driver, or some of the following services failed to start: rasman, lmhosts, netman.

My OS:
WIn7 SP1, all firewall off, no error during firstspot installation.
RAS enabled.

Any guide or link?

Our FirstHop driver needs to be binded (with check mark) to the Visitor Network Interface ONLY. Normally our setup will handle everything, but sometimes the network configuration confuses our setup.

You can try to manually check (i.e. tick) our FirstHop driver in Windows Network Connection -> right click Visitor Network Interface -> Properties.

BTW, what FirstSpot version are you currently using? Go to Configuration Manager -> login -> click About to check. Also, you existing network seems to be quite complicated (e.g. with PDANet and VMware installed, both are low-level drivers that may interfere with our setup). You may want to uninstall them first before running our setup, or better yet use a clean Windows to test FirstSpot.

FirstSpot® v8.1.0

I already cleaned my config. No more pdanet, vmware stuffs.
Visitor Network Interface uses only client for ms network, Firsthop Driver and tcpip4.

How to check if Firsthop driver was properly installed?
Although theres no error during setup.

Make sure there is "checkmark" for FirstHop in the network properties of your Visitor Network Interface card.

No, you don't need to put in the IP manually for Visitor Network Interface (i.e. hotspot side).

The other thing to check is to make sure you can start the service "Routing and Remote Access" manually. Make sure you stop it and leave it as "manual" after your test as FirstSpot will start it automatically.

I already did a clean install for FirstSpot.
lan= visitor
loopback = internet (for testing)
Still the same.
" Visitor Network Interface Card did not bind the PatronSoft FirstHop Driver, or some of the following services failed to start: rasman, lmhosts, netman. Please reboot Windows and start FirstSpot again [may need to do this multiple times] ".

Routing and Remote Access = no problem.

I noticed Firsthop NAT both check to Lan & loopback interface.

Any update? BTW, if you have driver signature error, you will see the above error during FirstSpot startup. So patch 3033929 will help.
