Post subject: Social Media login - Facebook

Trying to get social media login configured for our new server. I can login and get access via Instagram and Google+, but for some reason, I cannot click on the Facebook button.

Any suggestions on why this is occurring?

Can you elaborate on your symptoms? Maybe you can test another browser? Also, a screenshot will definitely help.

The only symptom appears to be that the face book button is not a clickable link.

Not really sure how to post a screenshot of it with this software.

I've tried every type of browser I have and get the same result.

If you are logged in to Facebook through your browser (stated stored in persistent cookie), there should be a check mark and the Facebook button is not clickable. Simply click login and you should be able to proceed.

If you still have difficulties, please capture the browser screenshot (press Alt+PrtScr, then paste the image to Paint), and then email us at firstspot@patronsoft.com.

Maybe the external Facebook icon URL has changed. We need to investigate.

Can you restart FirstSpot once and test again?

After your FirstSpot restart, please post your firstspot_FSRedirect_[timestamp].log under FirstSpot\log directory here.

We re-tested your case.

While we cannot reproduce your problem in our lab, we think we understand the cause of your issue. It seems that Facebook uses a different URL for the "Log In" button (maybe depends on country of origin).

We need your help to solve this issue. Please do the followings:

1) from the your PC, use Chrome to access the URL https://www.facebook.com/plugins/login_button.php

2) you should see a blank page without errors. Now, right-click the blank page and click "Save as" the file as html.

3) zip this html file and email us at firstspot@patronsoft.com for further analysis.

[no need for the firstspot_FSRedirect_[timestamp].log file for now]
