Post subject: Scratch Code as Payment Method

Is it possible to use scratch codes to top up existing accounts?
What we are wanting to achieve is the following:
1. User creates account
2. User selects option to top-up account
3. is presented with the following options:
Top up using a paid plan - redirected to paypal for payment
Top up using pre-paid scratch code

It would be nice if there was no difference in the handling of the scratch code.

The issue with using straight scratch codes is that it is hard to then track the users (we wish to have an account setup by them to collect their details in firstspot)

Is this possible in the current system? (we have v8) either directly or via a simple script?

Looking forward to a repl, Ben

Currently, FirstSpot doesn't support this type of pin code recharge.

We will consider adding this feature in the new FirstSpot v8. Our initial though is that this pin code option doesn't really related to PayPal/credit card. It is just a way for end-user to recharge/top-up.

Has any further consideration been given to hading the ability to use a pin code recharge? If not, do you know if there is a workaround that could be used?

Thanks, Ben

Currently, you can run FirstSpot API command to top-up or recharge any Scratch Code or Username, though it is unrelated to the credit card module.

Alan,

Thanks for your reply. From what I can see the API can only be run locally therough the command prompt, is this correct or is it able to be coded into a webpage?
We are wanting users to be able to purchase a voucher from a third party and then recharge without user intervention. Most of the clients we have use cash and do not have credit cards. As we currently do not have an office open all day but have a third party willing to sell a voucher we are trying to make this work within the system.
Any advice/support you can supply would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, currently FirstSpot command processor fsapi.exe is designed to run on Windows Command Prompt.

You can incorporate it to a web page using PHP system() or exec() function.
