Post subject: Is plain text password offloading ignored in trial version?

I set up a trial version of FS successfully. The database is on a MS SQL server. A scheduled task is updating the fsusr table periodically based on check-in records of our hotel booking/reservation system.

Everything works fine except that password offloading with plaintext.exe seems to be ignored.

The passwords of manually entered users are not stored in plain text. Those imported from the booking system are in plain text but users cannot login. Is this an issue with the trial version only or do I miss something?

The trial version won't have this limitations.

We need to double-check the Password Offloading feature with MS SQL. But just to make sure you configure Password Offloading correctly, can you make plaintext.exe work well using the default datasource?

Sorry, my mistake.

Looks like "Password Offloading" is disabled (incorrectly) under trial version. For paid version (Premium or Advanced Edition), "Password Offloading" will work okay.

Alternatively, you can download the below patch:

http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/7012/fsAPI.zip

Just unzip and copy fsAPI.php to FirstSpot\cfgmgr directory (backup the original one first), and then restart FirstSpot.

The patch will fix the Password Offloading feature under trial version. This problem will be fixed in the upcoming v7.0.12.
