Post subject: Buy more bandwidth option problems

Hi all,

We have an issue where the end users are unable to purchase more bandwidth from the firstspot site.

The following error occurs
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

We had to rebuild the server recently so we suspect a configuration issue but we cannot figure it out. Any ideas on what cold be causing the problem?

Thanks

Maybe you can take this opportunity and upgrade to v7. FirstSpot v7 uses a new Shopping Cart items (instead of Plan) and it makes it easier to configure and troubleshoot the credit card module.

You can download the latest v7 at http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download_trial.html

Well thats is going to take some time to get authorized. I really need to find out what the issue is to justify upgrading the product.

At which step you encounter the above problem? Can you elaborate?

This shouldn't happen unless you customize the login page.

Please install a fresh copy of FirstSpot (just use the trial version key) and try to reproduce the same issue. Make sure you don't customize any part for this test.

Hi Alan,

When you click on the Purchase more bandwidth the URL it takes us to is the following;

http://firstspot.org:8080/bandwidth/Login.aspx

Is this correct?

No. That why I ask you to install a fresh copy as we suspect you somehow customize the login page sequence.

Is there no way of changing it in the configuration?

IS there no way of changing the url within the Configuration manager? As far as we know, no customizations have been made.

Not really if you customize the html/php/tpl code directly. Actually, we don't even use ASP at all so somehow you did change the setting improperly.

All the possible settings are within Configuration Manager -> Credit Card
