Post subject: how do you remove free sign up form from firstspot?

I INSTALLED FIRSTSPOT TRAIL ON MY XP WORKSTATION, AND I FIGURED OUT HOW TO PERSONALIZE SIGN IN OR LOGON SCREEN. NOW I WANT TO REMOVE THE FREE LOG IN FORM, SO I COULD SET UP PAYPAL FOR INTERNET ACCESS. THAT WILL BE MY NEXT STEP?
THANK YOU

You mean you want to remove the "Sign Up Now" link in the login page? You can do that under Configuration Manager -> Authentication Server.

To hide the "Free Access" part after clicking "Sign Up Now" link, just select "Self Sign-up only" under Authentication Server tab, and then click "Save" immediately.

In general, as least for your initial test, please leave the FirstSpot settings as default as much as possible. E.g. Please leave "Enforce restriction on self sign-up accounts" to No unless you also set the below "Time elapsed before the same machine can sign up again". Otherwise, you will get a warning when you click "Save".
