Post subject: not being able to see user status on line

Hello

We are facing some particular problems about seeing a user status on line.
It is simply impossible to see if a user is online or not on firstspot .

We would like to solve that issue
does anybody know how to fix that. Before we could see the users pretty well.

regards,
Renato

Most likely you have a datasource issue. Did you change your datasource recently? What datasource (default, MySQL, SQL Server) are you currently using?

BTW, did you receive our email about your DHCP server issue? Please try to respond to our questions accordingly, thanks.

Hello Allan

About the DHCP issue, i have already answered Dominic's email. We did a complete audit on the network and we found out that the problem was on an AP that was working only on B mode, what was not allowing to conect to the DHCP server the customer, so the problem was on layer 1 and 2 ,even because we were also not able to detect the mac adresses of the afected customers in the firstspot log document.

About the database. Well...we have reformated the server running the same version of windows than before all that happened (Windows XP) and a i have copied the fsusr dbf and fsplan.dbf to the new installation.

So what is happening is the following:.
It is not possible to see which user is online or not.
and
also not possible to see the users log.

If it is a database issue, how can we solve that.

Regards,
Renato

You need to copy fsusr.* (3 files) and fsplan.* (3 files) from the old installation to the new one.

Please refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1514 for an guideline to manipulate the default datasource files.
