Post subject: Problems for users with ipod to surf on hotspot

Hello

This matter has been happening sometimes and I would like to hear a solution from you all.

We have some customers that are using ipods to acess the hotspot and we are facing the following problem.
After the customer punch the correct code throught the Ipod, all he sees is a blank pages, becoming impossibilitaded to navigate.

What could be that?
it has already happened twice.

Renato

Is this problem reproducible (happen every time) or intermittent (happen once a while)?

The same problem was reported by two different users on two different days.

Any clues?

So I would assume it is intermittent. Again, can you use a iPod and reproduce this problem "every time" you login to FirstSpot?

Post subject: hello it has happened again

Dear Alan,

It has happened again today.

we had problems for logging ipods on our network.

The clerk which was on turn in POS, reported me that he got also error on a test conection but using his smartphone a Nokia N95 which he normally uses to verify if the hotspot is working or not. and he got a message while trying to log on welcome page . the message was Gateway error.

We restarted the hotspot and everything seemed to be fine.

Any clues of what could be happening?

Regards
Renato

I also have seen that you have delivered an upgrade for FirstSpot v.6.0.5.

I would like to know if upgrading the software would make this kind of problem to atenuate.

By the way, we have a license, what would be the procedure for updating it.

Just download the latest v6 at http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download_trial.html . If you are currently using v6, just run setup.msi and FirstSpot will upgrade your installation automatically.

If you still have problem, again please try to reproduce your problem using a iPod/iPhone. Please specify the exact steps to reproduce the issue.
