Post subject: Error message, can not get started firstspot. Help please.

Greetings to all.

I am testing the evaluation version of the program Firstspot and can not get started.

When I click "Start" I get a message in the window below ...

Fri Nov 20 19:34:05 2009 Visitor Network Interface Card did not bind the PatronSoft FirstHop Driver, or some of the following services failed to start: rasman, lmhosts, netman.

I installed service pack 3 and I have Windows XP Professional Edition.

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much.

Is it new install? Something is not right in your Windows.

Try to make sure you can start Windows services - rasman, lmhosts, netman.

Or can you install FirstSpot in another clean Windows as a test?

Hello.

I tried on another computer and feel the same way.

It is like starting these services, it is very likely to do something wrong but it is not.

As I start these services?

Thank you very much

Did you run "setup.msi" to install FirstSpot? Any error during your installation?

Please zip and email us at firstspot@patronsoft.com your firstspot_install.log under %TEMP% directory (see http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2489 for instruction).

OK.

As I reached the other computer has sent you the log.

Yes, I did the installation with setup.exe and I had no error.

Thank you very much.
Greetings.
