Post subject: Couple Quick Questions

How many users will First Spot Support?

When is Version 3 Going to be Ready? I really am looking for more out of the dhcp and routing table.

I have win2k server at my disposal but I really dont see a need to use it. Since I will not be using the DNS, DHCP, IIS, or exchange I dont see the need. Would you please advise on if XP is appropriate for this program?

How many users could you expect to have on say a P4 2.4 ghz, 512 memory, decent motherboard, etc.... without causing latency?

1) We don't have an official schedule for 3.0 yet. Our current rough estimate is Q3/2004

2) FirstSpot version 2.1 supports both Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP

3) The performance is always difficult to estimate. In general, FirstSpot is quite efficient and for a 100MB Ethernet Card (i.e. Private Network Interface), it is more network bound than CPU bound. I will send you a performance whitepaper in a seperate email.
