Post subject: MySQL problem (userlog not working)?

Ok, now i have made MySQL database for FS.
Users can be added and they can login and logout but log ain't working?

when i open "show users log" mysql ODBC will generate warnings;

Warning: SQL error: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-3.23.55-log]You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'UNION SELECT '*anonymous' as name, logintime, logouttime, duration, iporm' at line 3, SQL state 37000 in SQLExecDirect in c:\program files\firstspot\cfgmgr\userlog.php on line 63

Warning: odbc_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid ODBC result resource in c:\program files\firstspot\cfgmgr\userlog.php on line 69

Any ideas?
Will this even work with MySQL v.3.23.55

Yes, FirstSpot should work well with your MySQL v.3.23 and MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver.

Please make sure you've created the tables exactly as specified in the manual.

Post subject: Should be ok...

I have double checked my tables and they seems to be ok
except most tables are missing indexes, but I assume thats ok.

In fsusrlog there is few lines in it, so logging is ok, but reading is not working. Hmm...

I will do some debugging and will report the results here...

Post subject: Now working...

I did do some debugging and searched MySQL.com for help, i found out that UNION statement is added in MySQL from version 4.0.0

So I updated MySQL server software to 4.0.18 and not FS works fine.

Hello Sami,

Thanks so much for your persistence to get the problem resolved.

Apology for the confusion!

We'll incorporate this useful information into our documentation.
