In general, FirstSpot is very efficient in terms of CPU and memory. For the actual deployment, administrator should use Windows Task Manager to monitor the CPU utilization and memory usage.

Below is the statistic for an actual deployment in Spain (the site is a Wi-Fi service for villages, but the concept will apply to wired service at well):

CPU : Intel XEON CPU E5405 [with 4 cores] (server grade CPU like Xeon is optional. Desktop level CPU like Core 2 or i5/i7 will work just as well)
Memory : 2G (this depends on Windows version. Might need to increase to 4G RAM if using Windows 2008)
Peak concurrent users : 400
Peak CPU utilization : 65%
