Post subject: fsapi and queryCurrentDataTransfer

I just fell over the parameter <queryCurrentDataTransfer> of the fsapi.exe in the Manual, but it seams, that it does only work with odbc or radius but not with the old dbase-databases?

I use
fsapi.exe QueryCurrentDataTransfer username=342234

and I get return
User is not logged in

(I use Firstspot 8.1.7)

best regards

Actually, the default dbf (dbase) datasource also uses ODBC interface.

Make sure you are using the default dbf files (not other dbf files copy from other installations). The easiest way is to use a newly installed FirstSpot v8.1.7 to test.

Dear Alan,

well I do use the standard-dbf-files and I still get the response <User is not logged in.>.

What do you mean by "not other dbf files copy from other installations"? I started with - I think - with version 6 or 5 and migrated over the years now to 8.1.7?

I use the fsapi.exe to create the user+Password and then just before deleting the user (also by fsapi.exe), I want to read the Quota-Status just for information. And at that point I get the error >user is not logged in.<

So I do not create the user by the usual website, I use the fsapi. Maybe thats the mistake? Should I send you the current dbf-file to look for it?

best regards

We just install a new copy of v8.1.7 and test this call again. We find no problems with it.

Note that the API call queryCurrentDataTransfer is only valid for currently logged in username. If your username has already been logged out, it will show the error message that you got.
