Post subject: Passwords for imported accounts do not work

Hi,
All the accounts were successfully imported into FirstSpot from Antamedia, however the passwords for the accounts do not work.
Please advise.

Thanks,

Try to encrypt the password using command line program encrypt_pwd.exe first before import.

Thanks

No. Try to run encrypt_pwd.exe in the command line once and you should understand the process. You need to grab the text output of encrypt_pwd.exe and put it in the .csv file.

Alternatively, maybe you can simply change password format to clear text. Refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2066 for more information.

BTW, you can also use FirstSpot API to create FirstSpot users. Refer to chapter 10 of firstpot_guide.pdf for details.

Hi Alan,
When i run the command i get the following
C:\Program Files (x86)\FirstSpot\dispatcher>encrypt_pwd.exe
usage : encrypt_pwd <input>

From what I understand with this is that i need to put the csv file as the input and then copy the output and put that in the csv, but where in the csv do i put this?
Could you give me a bit more details on how exactly this command is used and where in the csv do i need to put the output?

thanks,

Again, it maybe easier to switch the password encoding (password offloading) to clear text format instead of re-import. Please refer to the above link for instruction.
