Post subject: Forward Username/Password to upstream proxy?

hi,
I am not sure if it's even technically possible, but I was wondering if it was possible to get FirstSpot to foward the logon session details to an upstream proxy server (WebMarshal).

I am using radius which works fine, but when I ask to forward to upstream proxy server (for content scanning and URL filtering). Web Marshal doesn't know who the user account is.

Is this possible?

The other option is to configure proxy on 8081 which does filtering by IP address but that may need a bit of thought.

Just downloaded trial today and so far so good.

I don't think it is technically possible to forward the FirstSpot logon session details to an upstream proxy server.

But we do support forwarding port 80 traffic request to a http proxy server in the new v7. You can configure it at "Use proxy for port 80 (http) connection" under Dispatcher (Main).

Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information.

We need more details on this. What upstream content filtering system are you currently using? What is their authentication mechanism?
