|
|
Hello,
I wanted to know if there are any limits using windows XP instead of Server 2003 or 2008.
Is there a max connection limit, etc?
I thought Windows XP had issues with more than 10 simultanious TCP connections. |

The 10 users limit doesn't apply to FirstSpot. It is only apply to "half-open" TCP connections.
Having said that, Windows Server OS like 2003 or 2008 does offer several networking improvements such as better performance in high traffic situation, better NAT support and more robust routing implementation. So you might want to consider using server OS if you have high concurrent users (e.g. more than 100). _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

BTW, are you an existing FirstSpot user? Or you are currently evaluating FirstSpot? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

In that case, Windows XP should be fine. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
